the door swings open. greyson appears on the other side, looking about as happy to see him as he usually was. he must've been working hard on his standup routine all these months, considering these new, snappy insults.[break][break]oh, so that's what you wanna do, huh?[break][break]aaron places a hand, arm outstretched, against the flat surface of the open door. 
[break][break]"don't hate me 'cause i'm beautiful, greyson," he says with a coy smile, batting his eyelashes. he leans forward a little, his smile turning to a smirk. "y'know what, speaking of — i got a significant addition somewhere else, too. why don't you let me in and i'll show you."[break][break]

ah, aaron's dry wit. part of him missed it, a very, very small part. he doesn't react to the mans innuendo comment, face placid like still water.

"you're overdue on this months rent and utilities." aaron's hand feels pressure as greyson noticeably applies force to close it. "unless that's the addition you're talking about.... good bye."

as expected, greyson takes his joke like shit. aaron presses back against the weight of the door, his beautiful bicep bulging from months of hitting the gym. "is this any way to treat your bro, my guy?"[break][break]
his smirk starts to dissipate. he really isn't going to budge until he gets money, is he? [break][break]
"fine." aaron relents with a dramatic roll of his eyes, reaching into his pocket with his free hand. he holds his wallet up for the bridge troll blocking his path to see. "lemme in and you'll get your cut."

aaron flashes his wallet and greyson relents on the door, allowing him to come into their shared apartment. as he walks through the entryway, the familiar sights (and some unfamiliar pokemon, though they will probably just be in mantlepiece urns when dawn of the darkest day concludes) fill his chest with warmth. following greyson, he fishes through his wallet and places cash down on the counter. it's more than enough to cover rent and utilities. maybe there's even a little tip in there, a euphemism for the big tip he's going to get later.[break][break] "not gonna ask me what i've been up to or nothing?" aaron leans against the bar. "i heard you're a big boy gym leader now. bet it's a better gig than that mall security job you had before, huh?"
